Gallant
policemen have been hailed for repelling a group of kidnappers and killing
three of them in the process.
It was
gathered that the policemen scuttled an attempt in the early hours of Wednesday
by criminals to abduct some expatriates (staff of a construction company in
Kaduna) before they were engaged in a fierce shootout with police.
Items like
Three AK 47
rifles and six magazines were also recovered.
Meanwhile,
the governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, praised the police
action, and urged security agencies to intensify necessary measures to secure
the state and enhance citizen confidence.
