PETER OKOYE DISCLOSES SHOCKING DETAILS ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS ELDER BROTHER, JUDE ‘ENGEES’ OKOYE

In an interview with Dotun (Do2dtun) of Cool FM yesterday, April 24th, singer Peter Okoye also known as Mr P of the former music group, P-Square, spoke on the sour relationship between him and his older brother Jude Okoye as he revealed that they don’t speak to each other anymore ever since the dissolution of P-Square. When asked about his relationship with Jude who was his former
manager and if they still talk to each other, he responded;

“No we don’t. I am not beating around the bush. I am being honest, no we don’t.”

He also added:

“I’m living my life now, I wish him well”

Recall that the music duo P-Square broke up in 2017 and went their separate ways. The issue of their break up was said to have started when Paul, one of the twins of the then P-Square group in a solo interview, disclosed that he was the singer and song writer of the group while Peter his twin was the dancer.

This didn’t go down well with Peter as he found Paul’s words disrespectful to his creative portfolio and his ego bruised which resulted to Peter threatening a split. Notwithstanding , the famous brothers were able to resolve the matter and walked over this misunderstanding, returning with a few hits of which one of them was ‘Bank Alert’. However, shortly after then, Peter officially confirmed he was done with the P-square force when he sent a letter to their lawyers demanding termination of contracts. It was also rumored that the main reason Peter called it quits was because he was no longer interested in their big brother Jude being their manager and producer and wanted them to hire someone else, but Paul refused to buy the idea and insisted he wanted Jude to still remain their manager. 

This became an issue between them and Peter decided to go his way, allowing Paul stick to Jude as his manager. And this, among other family issues as reported is the reason Peter Okoye and Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye are not in talking terms till date. Before the split of the duo, it was reported that Jude Okoye didn’t attend Peter’s wedding with Lola Omotayo in 2013 because their mum before her death had warned Peter against marrying Lola, but then he went against her wish. This, according to reports didn’t go well with the family and that was said to be Jude’s reason for not attending the wedding, even though he denied the allegation saying he got stuck in Ghana and couldn’t make it. 

Paul too was said to have gone late to the traditional marriage ceremony and this raised eyebrows.
